Places to Elope in Bali

When deciding where to elope in Bali, think of what you enjoy as a couple. Are you more adventurous? Do you want something serene and quiet? Do you want to venture into the jungles or stand on the beautiful beaches of Indonesia? Don't forget to think about how many people you plan to invite and where you're thinking about staying. All of these questions can help you narrow down which places to elope in Bali!

Elopements in Balinese Nature

Ubud

If you're a couple dreaming of a more natural elopement, Ubud would be the perfect destination for your elopement! This city is covered in beautiful lush plants and wildlife. It’s so dreamy and magical. Ubud is also known for its art and culture, which makes it super fun to explore and enjoy.

Jatiluwih rice fields in Bali for natural elopement in elements

Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

Located in the Tabanan province, the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces are one of the most beautiful tourist attractions. It’s an absolutely gorgeous location at sunset or sunrise, as the light is a great contrast to the greenery of the rice fields. Dry season is a great time to plan your elopement here. While it is popular, you’ll be able to find a secluded spot for your intimate elopement because it’s such a large attraction! When you’re all done with your ceremony and portraits, don’t forget to grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby restaurants, too!

Tanah Lot in Bali: one of the best places to elope in Bali

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple

Known as the floating temple, the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple lays in Lake Beratan. This area has four temples to honor the Hindu Gods: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The iconic and traditional Balinese architecture is simply stunning and it's beautiful at all times of day. This is a working temple, so be sure to dress accordingly!

Adventurous Elopements in Bali

inspiration for adventurous elopement on Mount Batur in Bali

Mount Batur

Mount Batur is an active volcano on the north west part of Bali, known for its collapsed top. The volcano is also known for its black volcanic rocks and sand, creating a dramatic vibe for your portraits!. It’s an absolutely gorgeous spot for an elegant and unique look for your elopement.

Honestly, it’s not often you can get to an active volcano to the extent that you can get to Mount Batur. One of the other best parts about Mount Batur is the great hiking available - and the gorgeous lake, too! If you’re dreaming of a stunning sunrise elopement, consider planning your ceremony at Mount Batur!

NungNung Waterfall

NungNung Waterfall is located about an hour outside of Ubud and has to be one of the most beautiful spots in all of Bali to plan your elopement! The best time to visit is in the early morning, though you can access the waterfall basically all day before it’s dark.

Because getting to the waterfall is a bit more challenging than a simple walk, it’s not the spot for everyone. But if it’s for you, the NungNung Waterfall will not disappoint! It’s secluded and absolutely stunning.

Tibumana Waterfall

If you want a waterfall and more of a forest vibe for your elopement, consider Tibumana Waterfall. It’s located in Ubud and the path to the waterfall is surrounded by beautiful rice fields and palm trees. It’s the perfect chance to find a secluded spot in Bali while still enjoying what everyday life is like in Bali. Tibumana Waterfall is also near a beautiful Bali temple - so check that out while you’re there!

Kelingking Beach

Kelingking Beach is possibly one of the most incredible spots you’ll see in Bali - plus, who doesn’t love the idea of eloping on the beach? Getting down to the beach itself can be a bit scary - with limited safety railings and stairs, so consider eloping at one of the overlooks with Bali’s blue water and greenery behind you. It’s a stunning view either way and a dreamy spot for your ceremony!
